Changwonderful
Changwon’s seasonally flower-filled park, Rose Park (장미공원) is a great place to see many colors and species of roses in the early summer (late May – early June). A popular tourist spot when the roses are blooming, expect to see lots of families taking photos and having picnics. Just outside the park are vendors selling coffee, cotton candy, etc.
Perhaps due to the great variety of species, not all of the roses bloom at the exact same time. Expect to see roses in all points of the blooming cycle. If you go off season, don’t expect to see any.
Rose Park is located in the Gaeumjeong Sports Park in Gaeum dong, just off the Changwon Daero. The sports park also features facilities for playing soccer, basketball, jukgu, and badminton.
